A Bit About Me

I am a collaborative design director, and textile designer with 20+ years in home textile product development. My passion for design, innate creativity, and compassionate leadership sets me apart in the industry. I started my career as surface pattern designer working for both retailers and manufacturers. I has evolved into being a leader with a unique talent for working with artists and cross-functional teams. I have owned my own consulting business for over 15 years, and am able to create marketable products that drive growth and profitability.

I have expert knowledge of textile manufacturing and experience launching home collections and private-label brands. I also have an exceptional eye for color and pattern, and possess an intuitive understanding of the ever-evolving trends in the home decor market.

Creative and operational leader of product development design group. Responsibilities include designing and managing licensed soft home products, including the $1.5B Tommy Bahama beach brand.

  • Drive creative project management for designing and producing 8-10 licensed product assortments distributed through 10-12 national retailers yearly.

  • Partner with offshore manufacturer to deploy $2M portfolio of beach towels into Costco’s 850 US stores.

  • Lead creation of original artwork featuring on-trend designs, patterns, and color palettes integrated across several product categories.

Oversaw the design and merchandising of private-label textiles for top 20 US retailers, as a creative figurehead of a $200M home textile importer.

  • Launched 5 new private-label brands, directing all creative elements: logo design, overall aesthetic, messaging, packaging, and full product photo shoots.

  • Project-managed interior design and opening of High-Rise Showroom in NY, including concept, space layout, displays, and merchandising.

  • Directly engaged buyers from Kohl’s, HomeGoods, Home Shopping Network, and other chains to pitch product lines, discuss trends, and lead showroom walk-throughs.

  • Teamed up with manufacturer to break into Quilt category, scaling revenues from zero to $5M+ for a single retailer.

  • Managed and worked alongside freelance artists and offshore vendors on 1- to 2-month projects to create original prints.

Hired to build, staff, launch, and run DTC Fashion Bedding division, which now accounts for $45M+ in revenues.

  • Established end-to-end infrastructure, including design standards, design library of 1,000+ prints, presentation templates, spec packages, product taxonomy, and 3D/AR rendering tool.

  • Led design-production lifecycle, from trendspotting to managing artists and designers, and guiding manufacturers in China.

  • Sold trend-right collections to retail buyers partnering with sales teams in pitch meetings, maintaining >60% adoption rate.

  • Grew business volume 20%-50% for 5 mass-market/mid-tier retailers, including Kohl’s and the Home Shopping Network.
